How to recover from a big effort like Moab Run the Rocks

We have a new segment (ish?) around here as coach Andrew Miller is taking me under his wing while I run towards Moab Run the Rocks in March. Andrew and I will chat for around five minutes each month about what we’ve been working on, and why we’re working on it. The idea is to give listeners an idea of what it’s like to work towards a goal with a coach. He will switch between giving advice specific to me and to the community at large and give us an idea of why he is doing things. The opportunity to work with a coach and also learn about their process is one I’m excited to share.

It was great having an awesome running partner like Sabrina to pass the time I wasn’t feeling the greatest. We had so much fun!

Moab Run the Rocks was a great time. It was really fun running a stage race for the first time as well as running in the desert for the first time! I had some stomach issues I had to deal with, and getting used to the hot desert sun was a new experience, but the weekend went great overall. Now I’m recovering and trying to figure out what’s next, but I know I’m working with Andrew to get there and that is really exciting!
