Ep. 70 Running Sober. With Coree Woltering

Opening up about sobriety

“There are options, there are different programs, there are all these things that, I feel like they should be talked about, because I probably would have reached out or tried to find a way to figure out why I was drinking so much or how to stop drinking so much earlier if I would have actually known that there were options out there.”

Coree Woltering has done incredible things on the trails. He’s won races and set FKT’s. He also celebrated 2 years of sobriety on Oct 31, 2023 and that’s what our chat centred around. It was awesome to have Coree be so open about his journey and I appreciated him giving us so much insight. Everybody has a different relationship with alcohol, and Coree just wanted people to know there are resources available to help. He talked about how the programs available helped him and how they can help others.

“Not everybody needs to be sober. And, that's totally fine. I don't care if people are sober or not, to be completely honest. But, if you're someone that's struggling with it, then absolutely reach out. Don't be afraid to get help for it.”

It’s a great accomplishment for Coree and I’m thrilled we got to chat about it. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did. Let us know what you think in the comments.
