Ep. 66 The Naak story. With Minh Pham

A healthy obsession and a radical vision

“I think it's why we've been successful in the past few years. The fact that we are obsessed by the quality, right? We listen to our community. I am a runner myself. All our employees run, so we're super into it. We have that obsession of delivering the best products.”

Minh Pham and his business partner started Naak in 2016 and have found success in the highly competitive running nutrition market, although it’s not always been easy. Over the years they’ve managed to find success by listening to their customers, working with their athletes, and continuously looking for ways to improve. This “obsession” is what Minh believes makes Naak successful, and he had a very driven message that he shared when he thought about the journey so far.

“There's going to be a lot of up and downs, a lot of lessons learned, a lot of failures, but it's like an ultra, right? I think that we can do the comparison with an ultramarathon. A lot of up and downs, but at the end, if you have the perseverance, if you believe in what you do, if you are curious enough and if you are motivated enough, you're going to make it.”

Minh is super passionate about Naak and the conversation was interesting for me, I enjoyed learning more about his company! I have to apologize as I called him Ming at the end of the episode and that was my mistake.

I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I do and let us know in the comments below what you think.

We’re also incredibly excited to have Naak products on hand for the first 2 dozen folks through the door at the Vancouver screening of the Trail Running Film Festival!
