“I really just enjoyed treating creativity like silly putty and stretching it and grasping it and molding it in different ways.”
Angela Hollowell is the type of person to just go ahead and do something rather than wait for someone else to do it. This has led her to writing newsletters and hosting podcasts about various topics, including Melanin MVP, which she dubs “the ultimate destination for women of color athlete news stories”. I learned what Angela was doing through Run Tri Bike, as she is working with them now. I love the opportunity to spread the word about anything they are up to and Angela’s show is a great one to feature! She really enjoyed the way the relationship came to be.
“Jason was so gracious with his time, so gracious with his knowledge and just really supportive of what I was doing. ... We released our first episode in January of this year. I'm super happy about it. ... It's really good to be in an ecosystem. This is my first time being a part of a podcast network and that's really nice."
Angela was a great guest and I hope you enjoy the chat as much as I did! Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!

2025 Community Trail Running Tour Dates
Food Fight Friday
This is always so much fun! I have a great time with Jason of Run Tri Bike on this segment. It’s silly and brings me joy. Have a watch!
The Long Run
Last week our latest episode of the Long Run went up as well! Huge shoutout to Chantelle Erickson for taking over the intro hosting duties while I dealt with some technical issues. I thought she was a natural! I also thought our guest Marlinda Bedonie was awesome and we were so grateful to chat with her and hear some of her story.
